Suleiman Small Vase

Sculptural vase that reinterprets the traditional Moor's heads of Caltagirone ceramics into a contemporary key, and proposes them in monochromatic models. Handcrafted in Italy, Solimano Small, h20 cm, is available in multiple colors.

The voluminous turban, the prominent nose and the thick mustache define a proud, elegant and mysterious figure, representing Suleiman the Magnificent, sultan of the Ottoman Empire during the 16th century. A tribute to ceramic art and to Middle Eastern peoples who spread its technique.

Solimano vase proposes the Moor's heads of Caltagirone ceramic tradition and reinterprets them in a contemporary way; vibrant glazed monochromes, referring to the shades of Sicilian sun, sky and land, highlight the lines and the details.
