Perpetua vase
Perpetua, part of a self-produced vase collection that offers a critical and contemplative point of view upon productive excess, the neglect and recovery of places and spaces.
Marble waste from mainly sculptural activities are salvaged and reinterpreted by hand. Iron becomes support for the single flower.
Perpetua is a collection entirely made from local materials, originated from the need for sustainability, as a social and environmental responsibility.
A connection between different artisanal traditions on the territory through the use of materials retrieved from construction sites. The waste products of marble manufacturing, usually discarded, are now salvaged and reused. They tell their own story through new shapes.
The deafening silence, the light and shadow effects, the metallic wefts of enormous buildings are the inhabitants of incomplete landscapes. Materic remains that enhance the decadent beauty of deserted places. They are support for frail flowers, symbol of rebirth. Pure and stable details become founding for unsure, corroded structures.
The meeting of two materials: the stone, lithic material of ancient reminiscence, and iron, pure metal used in all its spontaneity.
