Description

This elegant bench with a beautiful grain is made directly from a tree trunk, then carved by hand and entirely charred with the ancient Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban, the art of preserving wood using fire. This procedure, ecological and completely natural, protects the wood by making the surface waterproof and so ideal for the outdoor.

The charring creates a beautiful lustre and smoothness to the wood’s surface.

Charred Larch bench is a great compliment to any home as a side bench or a big coffee table.

Any veining, movements and changes in the appearance of the wood are the result from the natural settlement of the wood and intrinsic characteristics of these products.
