Then it takes shape and turns into sensation. A sensation that runs through bending, trying and retrying." This is the essence of MetalliFilati brand, by saying of its founder, Paolo Mezzadri. This project tells about craftmanship, about the curated work of the real artisan. The metal yarns are one of a kind, unique in the design, unique considering the technology and the creativity involved in the process. Debou presents a selection of stool, small tables, tables and other unique furnitures.

A short description of your collection.

Metallifilati products are manufactured in a traditional way, by hand, hammer, welding equipment, brush and several kinds of lacquers. Each object is unique and special because totally handmade.

What inspires you?

The need and the desire to give metal the lightness. For years I have worked with fast and innovative technologies which formed iron in a very surprising way. But the process was so quickly that in the end the metal was just a device: a cold, useful device. So, last years I discovered a new and bespoke dimension,  wilder, slower but mine, and more respectful of metal.
