Trullo Candle Holder Liliac-Violet

Ceramic candle holder featuring the silhouette of the typical Apulian trullo. Sold with the juniper berries candle. 

The “Trullo”, an iconic agricultural shelter, inspired a ceramic artefact entirely handmade in Italy based on a design by Carola and decorated by reinterpreting the traditional Apulian “macchiato” technique in new and unprecedented color combinations.

It is from the apparent randomness of the artisan brushstroke, which instead embodies a powerful artistic gesture, that the olfactory objects of Carola fra i Trulli are born, an evocative mix and match of scents, essences and colors of the Apulian countryside.

Conceived using only natural materials, the candle is in soy wax with a glass container and cotton wick, scented with the essence of Juniper Berries. Inspired by the generous bush with silvery reflections of foliage and its very black berries which are ripe and gathered in autumn in rustic wicker baskets when the air gets cooler. It is a nocturnal, balsamic fragrance, with dry and mineral accents like the limestone rock on which it grows luxuriantly.

The product is accompanied by its box in recycled cardboard and raw linen. A conscious and sustainable design choice, respectful of the strong link between craftsmanship and territory.

Due to the artisan origin of the product, any irregularities are considered a sign of authenticity and not a defect.
